Children's care

Children's immunisations

The doctors give the first immunisation to your baby at your post natal check. A practice nurse will then give subsequent immunisations.

Please contact us if you think your child is overdue for any immunisation.

Child development clinics

At approximately 10 days old the management of your baby’s health checks will pass from your midwife to your health visitor, who will organise an ongoing programme of care.

Your doctor will do a full medical for your baby at 8 weeks and give the first set of immunisations. This appointment will give you an opportunity to share any concerns you may have. Your Health Visitor will then contact you at regular intervals about your child's development. She will always be pleased to talk to you if you have any concerns at any time and is available on 01962 877878.
