Antenatal care

If you are pregnant, your doctor would like to see you early in the pregnancy. After the first appointment with your doctor a midwife employed by Royal Hampshire County Hospital will plan and organise your antenatal care. The midwives run antenatal clinics from each of our surgeries and will provide individualised antenatal and postnatal care. They also offer a home birth service.

Postnatal care

This should be arranged with your doctor for 8 weeks after the baby is born. At this appointment, your baby will also be given his or her first check and immunisation.
