Dr Helen Lambert Senior Partner
BM, MRCP, MRCGP
Dr H Lambert joined practice as a partner in 2004.
She enjoys all aspects of general practice but especially caring for families and patients with cardiac problems.
Dr Lambert lives in Kings Somborne with her husband and young family. She enjoys family life, cooking and keeping fit. Helen is currently a GP trainer.
Dr Niki J Wright
Dr Wright joined the Practice as a partner in 1993.
She is passionate about all areas of general practice and has a particular interest in healthy living. Niki has completed a certificate in Obesity Management at Reading university and is involved in the local Health Walks programme, running a walking group for patients.
Married with three children, Niki still finds time for regular walking herself, cycling and swimming as well as being actively involved in the local community and is an assistant cub scout leader too.
Dr Sarita Sluman
BM MRCGP DFFP
Dr Sluman joined the practice as a partner in September 2008.
She enjoys all aspects of general practice but particularly enjoys Paediatrics and Ear, Nose and Throat problems.
Sarita has a busy family life, with three children and 3 dogs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with the family, going for walks or cycle rides in the New Forest and swimming.
Dr Vykunthan Selvaratnam
BSc (Hons) MBBS MRCS (Eng) MRCGP
Dr Selvaratnam joined the practice as a partner in January 2013.
He enjoys all aspects of general practice and has a particular interest in minor surgery and joint injections.
Dr Selvaratnam currently lives in Romsey with his young family and enjoys running, cycling and camping when time allows.
Dr Jason Bradbury
MB BS MRCP MRCGP
Dr Bradbury joined the practice as a partner in September 2013.
He enjoys all facets of general practice life and maintains an interest in cardiology, chest medicine and diabetes.
Dr Bradbury enjoys a busy family life and has two sons. When time permits, he enjoys football, cricket and cycling.
Dr Stephanie Hughes
Dr. Stephanie Hughes started at Friarsgate as a partner in April 2021.
She enjoys the diversity of general practice, and loves helping patients of all ages with any primary care needs. She has a strong background in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, carries out appraisals for her colleagues, and also holds the post of Associate Dean at Health Education Wessex. She also has special interests in primary care research and medical student learning in practice.
Dr Hughes has three daughters and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
Dr Gabriel X J Sherliker
MB BS BSc (Hons) MRCGP
Dr Sherliker joined the practice as a partner in August 2021, having completed his speciality training with the practice.
He qualified in medicine from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ in London, before moving to Wessex to pursue postgraduate medical training. He also holds a degree in neuroscience, with a particular focus on mental health and the biological basis of psychiatric disease. He relishes the complexity of general practice and values the unique opportunity to positively influence people’s health.
Dr Sherliker enjoys running, choral music and spending time with friends, family and his four Boston terriers.
Dr Andy Pike
Dr Pike joined the practice in August 2022.
Andy moved to Hampshire to complete his post graduate training after obtaining his medical degree in Sheffield. Andy started his career in emergency medicine before completing speciality training in general practice. Andy enjoys all aspects of general practice, with a special interest in urgent care and teaching.
Dr Pike is kept busy outside of work with family life and taking his Labrador for long walks in the beautiful Hampshire countryside.
Dr Elizabeth Meredith
MBBS BSc, MRCP UK, MRCGP
Dr Meredith started work at The Friarsgate Practice as a GP in July 2017 and became a Partner in April 2023.
She enjoys all aspects of general practice.
Dr Meredith spends her free time with her husband and children as well as swimming and cycling.
Dr Claire Baker
MBBCh, DCh, MRCGP
Dr Baker joined the practice in November 2008.
She greatly enjoys the variety of general practice work and supporting her patients and their families through their lives and events.
Dr Baker is married with 2 children and enjoys literature, walking, cycling and tennis.
Dr Victoria Ayres
Dr Victoria Ayres joined the practice the practice in January 2018
She enjoys all aspects of general practice, but especially enjoys paediatrics and women’s health.
Dr Ayres enjoys spending her free time with her husband and young children as well as running and cycling.
Dr Suma Chandy
MBBS, MD, MRCOG, MRCGP
Dr Chandy joined the practice in February 2020.
She enjoys all aspects of general practice but, has special interests in Women’s health, Mental health and teaching and appraising other GPs.
Dr Chandy enjoys spending time with her family and can usually be found either watching football or taking her children to games.
Dr Josephine Furness
BA, BM, MRCGP, DCH
Dr Furness joined the practice in August 2021.
She enjoys all aspects of general practice and has a special interest in diabetes.
Dr Furness enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walks in the countryside and cooking.
Dr Alexander Copping
Dr Copping joined the practice in August 2022.
Dr Catherine Woodward
Dr Woodward joined the practice in February 2023.
She enjoys all aspects of general practice but has a special interest in dermatology.
Dr Woodward enjoys netball, running, singing in a choir and spending time with her husband and children in her spare time.
Kate Hawkridge Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Nurse Kate joined the practice in May 2017.
She works with the duty team and enjoys triaging and seeing and treating the on the day urgent care patients.
Nurse Kate has one daughter who lives in Reading, and in her spare time enjoys walking her dogs Alice, Henry and Nellie and doing arts and crafts.
Victoria Lewis Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Nurse Victoria joined the practice in August 2019.
She works as part of our on the day urgent care team and has special interest in Neurosciences.
Nurse Victoria is married with two children who keep her busy. In her spare time she enjoys swimming and socialising with friends.
Aimee Arnott Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Aimee is currently on Maternity Leave
She joined the practice in March 2020.
She works as part of our on the day urgent care team and has experience within cardiac and vascular surgery.
She lives with her partner Phil and in her spare time goes running and enjoys socialising with friends and family.
Rachel Hedges Nurse Practitioner
She joined the practice in September 2021.
Lorna Davies Advanced Nurse Practitioner
John Tutton Paramedic
John started with the practice in October 2020.
He assess patients that are unable to attend the surgery and thoroughly enjoy the face to face contact with patients.
John lives in Winchester with his wife and has four children. John enjoys cycling and badminton and occasionally football, although he finds this hurts more than it used to!
Rachel Snell Lead Practice Nurse

Nurse Rachel joined the practice in December 2018.
She enjoys all aspects of General Practice but, has special interests in Diabetes, Women’s health and minor illness.
Nurse Rachel is married with three children and enjoys running and weight lifting in her spare time.
Janis Leach Practice Nurse
Nurse Janis Joined the practice in October 2019.
She enjoys all aspects of practice nursing but, has a specialist interest in Asthma, COPD and wound care.
Nurse Janis has three grown up children and a dog called Elsie. In her spare time she enjoys reading, swimming, line dancing and long walks with Elsie.
Megan Fry-Wife Practice Nurse
Megan Joined the practice in November 2022.
She enjoys all aspects of practice nursing but, has particular interests in Women’s health, Diabetes and Travel advice.
Megan enjoys baking and crocheting in her spare time. Her first crochet project was a blanket for her pet cat ‘Bubbles’ who she adopted in 2022.
Rebecca Farrell Practice Nurse
Rebecca Joined the practice in November 2022.
She is new to practice nursing although been a nurse for many years. She is currently undertaking a masters in practice nursing and has a special interest in Heart failure and Hypertension.
Rebecca has two children and enjoys running and hiking in her spare time.
Jenny Hanson Health Care Assistant
Healthcare assistant Jenny joined the practice in June 2019.
She enjoys all aspects of her role in practice but, has a specialist interest in wound care.
Healthcare assistant Jenny enjoys sewing, furniture upcycling and being outdoors in her spare time.
Kate Self Healthcare Assistant
Kate Self joined the practice in October 2020.
She is enjoys all aspects of her job and enjoys meeting patients face to face especially for cardiac monitoring.
Kate loves to travel with her favourite destination being Australia. She also enjoys the theatre, musical theatre in particular.
Clare Wickes Research Nurse

Nurse Clare joined the practice in October 2017.
She enjoys all aspects of her research role in practice.
Nurse Clare has 2 boys aged 13 and 15, who keep her very busy. In her spare time she enjoys anything that entails being active and outdoors, particularly walking, kayaking, skiing and coasteering

Loreta Jalba Clinical Pharmacist
Loreta is currently on Maternity Leave
Loreta joined the practice in June 2020.
She enjoys everything about being a clinical pharmacist, from patient interactions to discovering different ways drugs can work!
Loreta spends her free time playing the piano, swimming and cooking. Travelling more is on her to-do list!
Loreta is currently on maternity leave.
Emmanuel Ejii Clinial Pharmacist
Emmanuel joined the practice as a clinical pharmacist in July 2020.
He provides additional support with any medication related issues and has a specialist interest in diabetes and Endocrine and is the lead pharmacist in this at HHFT.
Emmanuel previously lived and worked on the Isle of Wight for 5 years, he loves spending time with his family and watching football.
Teresa Turley Clinical Pharmacist
Teresa joined the practice in September 2021.
She enjoys all aspects of her job but, especially enjoys liaising with patients regarding medication queries and learning about new medications and their benefits.
Teresa is originally from Ireland but, has lived in England since 2014. She loves trying new foods, socialising with friends and travelling when she can!
