COVID Vaccination update

The Winchester City Primary Care Network has been working hard to vaccinate vulnerable patients from the three Winchester Practices with their first COVID vaccination at the Badger Farm Community Centre.

We met the target to meet the Governments priority of vaccinating all patients in groups 1-4 by the middle of February 2021 and then went on to offer vaccines to all patients in groups 1-9 by the end of March 2021. We are now moving into WAVE 2 of the vaccination programme and are starting to call patient’s in their 40’s. Patients aged under 30 will be offered a choice of vaccine when they are called by their practice.

All patients aged 18 and over have now been invited and if any over 18 has not yet booked or has not heard from their practice please contact the practice ASAP.

Patients will usually be called for the second vaccine around 8-10 weeks after their first and this will be done automatically by their practice. If patient’s have not heard from their practice regarding their second vaccine at around 11 weeks please contact the practice to let them know.

Thank you for your continued support and please be assured the Winchester City PCN will continue to do all we can to keep our patients safe at this difficult time.
