Important Information on Changes to Repeat Prescriptions

If you are taking tablets or medicine long term, your doctor may arrange for you to have repeat prescriptions. The best way to order your repeat prescriptions is:

The NHS App: Register to use this service by downloading the app via the App store or google play or find out more at www.nhs.uk/nhsapp This App allows you to order repeat prescriptions more quickly and confirms when it is ready for collection meaning no need for any wasted journeys to the pharmacy as you will know when it is ready!

We do appreciate that not everyone has access to a smartphone so below are two more suggestions on how patients can request their repeat medication in future.

Order via online access on your PC or App: For patients who do not have a smartphone this is an ideal way of ordering repeat prescriptions online through your PC or tablet. Contact the practice to register for this service.

Order via your local chemist: you need to register for this service with the chemist of your choice who will then order your repeat prescription for you.

Please order your medication no more than 7-10 days before your supply runs out. Those requests received earlier than 10 days will be rejected.  If you require your prescription early for good reason, perhaps you are going away on holiday for example, do please contact our prescription clerk to arrange.

Please be aware that the repeat prescription request form on our website will NO longer be in use from the 31st August 2020. Patients will need to register for one of the above services to request repeat prescriptions after this date.
