Valentine’s Day marks the launch of a national campaign to improve uptake of cervical screening

Women and people with a cervix aged between 25 – 64 are eligible for regular screening every 3 – 5 years

Also known as a smear test, this simple test looks at the health of the cervix, which is the opening to the womb from the vagina

2,700 people in England are diagnosed with cervical cancer every year, and it is the second most common cancer amongst women under 35

Cervical screening confers significant preventative benefits, and attending for your appointment is one of the best ways you can protect your health

You will receive an invitation letter in the post when it is your time to book. You can also contact us to book in if you have missed your latest screening invitation

Speak to us today if you have any questions about having a smear test. You can also find out more on the NHS website.
