Dr Stephen Fowler leaving the practice

Dr Stephen Fowler after 11 years at the practice is leaving us at the end of in March to pursue other clinical interests.

Dr Fowler has been a dedicated GP and during his time at Friarsgate has been instrumental in setting up Friarsgate as a leading Research practice.  A successful legacy that we will carry forwards, building on the strong foundations he leaves with us.

 

Whilst clearly Dr Fowler will be missed by us all, we are delighted to welcome Dr Stephanie Hughes as our new Partner from April.

She also has an impressive Research background and is passionate about educating Medical Students.  This will complement  our long standing commitments to GP Education.

 

Most of Dr Fowler’s patients will transfer directly to Dr Stephanie Hughes.  Some will move to Dr Helen Lambert temporarily until we appoint another permanent full time GP in  August.

Dr Helen Lambert has been a Partner at Friarsgate for 11 years and looks forward to providing that continuity of care that we know is so highly valued.  She will be very ably assisted by her current GP Registrar, Dr Gabriel Sherliker.

Whilst this may be unsettling for some patients we assure you the transition will be as smooth as possible and patient care at the very forefront of all our actions.
