Winchester City Primary Care Network Enhanced Access Service

From the 1st October 2022, Winchester City Primary Care Network (PCN) will take over the operational delivery of the Badger Farm Surgery evening and weekend Primary Care service.

Due to a national change in contracting and expectation around service provision the PHL Appointments+ service will cease, and the new Winchester City PCN Enhanced Access service will commence dovetailing without any gap in delivery.

Winchester City PCN is the collaboration of the 3 city practices (Friarsgate, St Clements, St Paul’s) working together to deliver the vision of NHS England. To deliver high quality, integrated services that meets the needs of a defined population and increases access and convenience.

The service will operate from Badger Farm Surgery, Badger Farm Road, Winchester, SO224QB.

Service hours will be 17:30 to 20:30 weekdays and 09:00 to 17:00 Saturdays, with a workforce providing an additional 58 clinical hours per week over and above core Primary Care contracted hours.

Having listened to our local patient population survey results we will provide the following services. Routine GP appointments, Long term condition reviews, Proactive screening and assessments, Adult and childhood vaccinations, Contraception clinics, Musculoskeletal physio assessments, Pharmacist medication reviews and Phlebotomy (blood taking) appointments.

This service is very much an extension to your registered GP Practice. In order to make an appointment please call your own GP practice from the week commencing the 26th September 2022 and ask to be seen in the Enhanced Access service if the timings are more convenient for you.
